success and renowned Jazz Guitarist. Based in Winnipeg;
Czapla's music is heard around
the world in 16 countries.
His musicianship & artistry put his original music on Jazz Charts
domestically & internationally achieving #1 status on Canadian Jazz Charts.
He has been recognized at the 47th. Annual Grammy
Awards as the only independent Canadian Jazz
Artist on the
short list.

Czapla's Quartet
"Uptown Shuffle" began as a country band performing 38 out of 52
weekends annually throughout Alberta and Western Canada.
After seven years "Uptown Shuffle" evolved into a blues/rock
quartet performing more often.
It wasn't long before "Uptown
Shuffle" was performing at Rock/Blues venues on Wednesday,
Jazz venues on Thursday, and Country venues on the weekends.
Czapla's popularity grew quickly
and he began performing internationally at such major venues
like; The Toronto Skydome, The Yale Hotel, Dazzle in Denver.
With a growing repertoire and fan club Czapla became an
extremely versatile musician.
After 25 years in the industry,
his passion for performing live has settled in the jazz genre
utilizing his entire repertoire to entertain audiences in any
music venue.

As an
renowned musician Czapla
is recognized by his peers in the music industry as a great
songwriter/Composer, an innovative jazz guitarist, an Author, CEO &
Director of Czapla Music Studio's. Considered a
contemporary Jazz Guitarist with a traditional heart.
Czapla's private guitar lessons
with Bob Cairns, Tom Gilroy, Tim Cummings, Paul Hammer, Chet
Breau, Ruth Douglas [Theory], and Bruce Carlson have provided him with a
sound, technique, and musical foundation. Czapla also
studied music at the University of Manitoba, Grant MacEwan
Community College, the Toronto Royal Conservatory of Music, and
private music studies in theory, composition, and arranging.
Czapla achieved first class honours, and honours in all of his
musical studies.
